I've been thinking of making a playlist on Spotify for some time, solely dedicated to my findings on Contemporary music. During my daily exploration of new, fresh, and inspiring pieces in the contemporary music scene, I frequently come across works that resonate with me aesthetically. These pieces have, in various ways, become a great source of inspiration for me in the past years.
On the flip side, I sometimes hear from friends and family that contemporary music (generally anything modern) feels inaccessible to them. I think this could be because of the enormous number of new music pieces available in the market and the varied methods, aesthetics, and out-of-the-box approaches that composers and musicians use to create music, which might be overwhelming to those less familiar with this genre. So, this playlist could be a great starting point for anyone up for getting into some contemporary vibes, but doesn't know where to start!
